**We regret to announce that the enrollment maximum has been exceeded for this workshop. We hope to offer another workshop on this topic in the future.  Watch this website for an announcement.

If you wish to be placed on a list to be notified of a future Alumni Relations Best Practices one-day workshop, please send your name and email address to Robert A. Kerr, CASE VII Education Chair.

Join with professionals from a variety of different institutions to discuss best ideas and hot topics in alumni relations.

Speakers will include:

Elizabeth Allen, Assistant Director for Communications, Caltech Alumni Association

Nick Nazarian, Director of Alumni Relations, Chaffey College (formerly at Cal State San Bernardino)

Sara Rodriguez, Director of Alumni Relations, Polytechnic School, Pasadena

Topics will include:

Online Tools and Alumni Relations

Online tools appear, change, and develop quickly. How do you keep up? How do you decide what's relevant? We will discuss some of these emerging technologies and how they may - or may not - fit in with the mission and goals of your alumni relations program.

Working with Volunteers

Discuss ways to engage, motivate and support your Alumni Board and other volunteers. What are the challenges of keeping volunteers focused on the big picture—valuing volunteer’s opinions and ideas, but staying focused on what is best for the school and the greater alumni association.

Alumni Relations at Community Colleges and State Universities

What special challenges and opportunities does alumni programming at state universities and community colleges offer?

Participants should be full-time alumni relations staff. The Forum is limited to 30 attendees with a maximum of two participants per institution.
