Mike Remedi currently serves as the Associate Director
of Development for the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering
at Arizona State University (ASU). For the past
six years, Mike has enjoyed both exciting and challenging
fundraising projects in Arizona. Mike first honed
his development skills at his alma mater, the University
of Arizona, where he helped coordinate a $14 million
campaign to assist with the construction a new student
union.
With guidance from the UA Foundation,
the campaign and building were completed in 2003. He
then spent a year with the recently launched Translational
Genomics Research Institute in Phoenix, Arizona developing
their first donor acquisition plan and conducting educational
presentations to community organizations. In
2005, Mike accepted his current position, overseeing
a $40M capital campaign for the Del E. Webb School
of Construction at ASU. Of the $20M being sought
from private sources, over $13.5M has been raised to
date.
Mike feels it is important to volunteer time to the
community and assists small non-profit organizations
with their fundraising programs. Over the past two
years, he has been a pro-bono fundraising consultant
for both Arizona Together and Equality Arizona. Additionally,
Mike is politically active, having been a steering
committee member for the Lisa Lovallo for Legislature
campaign as well as currently serving as the chairman
of the political action committee for Equality Arizona.
