of Excellence page. Here you will find
information on the categories and criteria for
participation. Any advancement program at a District
VII CASE member institution, whether university,
college, independent school, or community college,
may apply.

receive entries for the Awards of Excellence is Friday,
August 22, 2008.
Please check out the full list of categories below
and enter today. And don’t forget to send in
your names for the Tribute
Award, CEO
Award and the CASE District VII new Rising
Star Award. Again, the deadline to
receive entries for these awards is Friday,
August 22, 2008.
Remember that any advancement program at a District
VII CASE member institution, whether university,
college, independent school, or community college,
may apply.
Award Categories
The following types of awards will be presented:
- Best Practices in Alumni Relations
Gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented to
the best entries. An institution may apply for up
to three awards representing different best practices.
- Best Practices in Educational Fund Raising
Gold, silver and bronze awards in four categories
will be presented to the best entries. An institution
may enter all four categories with entries representing
different best practices.
- Best Practices in Public Relations/Government
Relations
Gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented to
the best entries. An institution may apply for up
to two awards representing different best practices.
- Outstanding Advancement Services Initiative
Gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented to
the best entries. An institution may apply for up
to two awards representing different initiatives.
- Outstanding Special Event
Gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented to
the best entries. An institution may apply for up
to two awards representing different best practices.
- Outstanding Communications
Gold, silver and bronze awards will be presented in
17 entries. An institution may apply for one award
in each category.
Winning
Winners will be notified in October
2008. Award levels
(Gold, Silver, Bronze) will only be announced at the Awards
Reception at the CASE District Conference
on Monday, December 8, 2008 at the
Hyatt Embarcadero, San Francisco, California.
Eligibility Criteria
All entry materials or programs must have been produced or executed between July
1, 2007 and June 30, 2008. Please visit the Online
Awards Payment Page to submit your entries. Entries must
be submitted by Friday, August 22, 2008. A variety of winning entries
will be selected for display at the CASE District VII Conference. Institution
names (not individuals) are printed on the awards and certificates.
Checks should be made payable to: CASE District
VII. If paying by check, mail check
payment ($45 per entry) and entry
form (pdf) to:

Materials
We welcome your samples as supporting documents to
your entries but please do not send materials in binders
or folders. No entries will be returned. Unfortunately,
due to the volume of entries, judges are not able
to provide individual feedback. Please
remember to send 4 complete entries – make and
send copies of ALL materials including entry form.
