For those who want to develop their advancement careers, expand their professional network, and grow personally, there are few experiences like volunteering for CASE.

Getting involved with CASE may be something you have thought about but you might not know where to start or what opportunities are available. This will help you identify areas where volunteers are needed.

If, after you have read this page, you are interested in getting involved with CASE VII, please contact a Board Member or:

This annual event is for all advancement professionals. By enlisting high quality presenters and discussion leaders, this conference aims to provide an enlightening networking and learning experience for all of its attendees - senior professionals and newcomers alike.

Volunteers are needed in all capacities from helping plan to participating as speakers. For more information contact Derek Lester, Volunteer Coordinator.

Volunteers are needed in various areas:

Mentors
New advancement professionals attending the conference will have the ability to request mentors that they can contact either during the conference or outside of the conference. If you would like to be a mentor, please submit your name, expertise and contact information.

Session Hosts
Session hosts are needed to distribute evaluation forms during each session. If you would like to help with this activity, please send your name and contact information to Jacque Matthews.

Serve on the Program Committee
Help plan the CASE District VII conference. Assistance is needed with arrangements, the newcomer's conference, communities of practice, programming, and more! This is at least a one year commitment. Committee members are responsible for planning and recruitment of speakers and volunteers.

Assist during the Conference
Those seeking a lighter time commitment can assist during the conference as session hosts (assisting the speakers, setting up rooms, collecting evaluations), roundtable hosts, speakers, registration assistants, and more!

Host a workshop at your campus
Organize a session that focuses on a timely issue by bringing colleagues together to share their collective wisdom. This is a chance to show off your campus!

Board of Directors
The CASE District VII Board of Directors tends to the business of the district. Calls for nominations are made annually. Board members are expected to serve on one of the board's six committees: Executive, Opportunity and Equity, Recognition, Education, Communications, and Nominations. In addition, the board oversees the annual District VII Conference.

My supervisor, who was Chair of CASE when she hired me encouraged me to become engaged in the District. I participated for years in an array of positions on the District Conference Planning Committee. I then had the pleasure of serving on the District Board. It is a wonderful means for mutual professional development.
