CASE DVII One-Day Workshops

CASE District VII is committed to providing our membership with a comprehensive array of educational forums that complement the annual district conference. Based on results from a recent membership survey and subsequent discussions by the CASE District VII Executive Committee and Board of Directors, the district leadership is committed to providing low cost networking and educational forums in all areas of advancement throughout the district.

Examples of common program themes:

  • Best practices in alumni relations
  • Best practices in major gift fundraising and stewardship of donors
  • Best practices in planned giving and endowment portfolio management
  • Best practices for engaging international alumni
  • Communications: branding the institution, dealing with social networks, managing websites, marketing the institution
  • Community Colleges: advancement services with a small staff and budget
  • Newcomers orientation for staff with minimal work experience, as well as a separate program for newcomers to the advancement profession at an educational institution, but seasoned professionals assuming senior advancement positions from another field

Guidelines for these one-day forums include:

  • Interactive
  • Training on specific topics
  • Peer education
  • Small audience [average 35 per forum]
  • Drive-in locations
  • Inexpensive [$75 which includes lunch, parking, materials, and related expenses]

If you wish to provide a location, participate as an instructor, or suggest a forum topic different from the ones listed, please contact Emily M. Rankin, Chair of the District Education Committee or call her at 909-607-8188.
